Senior Finance Analyst

Position:Senior Finance Analyst, Vendor Services
Salary: 21/hr
Job type: contract (6 months)
Location: Toronto

Overview:

To provide and maintain accurate financial information for Financial Reporting and decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a key contact for an assigned group of vendors to resolve inquiries related to payment discrepancies.

Analyze vendor payment issues and determine improvement opportunities within data integrity, processes etc .

Initiate communication with various sources (vendors, internal departments, etc) to develop process improvements .

Establish and maintain co-operative working relationships with internal and external contacts to resolve issues and

promote improvements.

Ensure that all financial information (i.e. journal entries, system rejections and uploads) is received and processed in a timely and accurate manner.

Ensure accuracy and integrity of all data and ensure that all accounts are recorded properly

Prepare account reconciliations, account and balance sheet analysis, research all external entries for accuracy

Respond to inquires from various sources (i.e. operations, finance, customers, etc.).

Provide Ad Hoc reporting and support special projects as required.

Qualifications:

Post secondary education in Accounting/Commerce/Finance.

Preferably enrolled in 2nd or 3rd level CGA

1-2 previous years experience in general accounting.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Excellent organizational skills.

Strong time management skills and ability to work with tight deadlines

Able to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously with conflicting deadlines

Good interpersonal skills and able to deal professionally with all levels of management

Strong problem solving and customer service skills.

Demonstrates superior attention to detail in financial reporting.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able to work in a continuously changing environment.

Self motivated and able to work independently with minimum direction.
