Overview:
The successful candidate will assist in the compilation, review and analysis of various monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports by extracting data from various systems, ensure accuracy and taking responsibility for organizing data in a professional format for different levels of users.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the creation, development, analysis and communication of periodic financial reports (national reports, including Dashboards and trending reports/charts, reporting, sales, profit, expense information, functional cost analysis (FCA), etc) to various users within the business.
Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual information for the Quarter and Annual Reports (Sales & EBIT analysis).
Responsible for data management and extraction from Hyperion Enterprise and SQL Server; and reconciliation back to General Ledger system .
Assist in design, development and implementation of new and ad hoc reports as required by the business.
Provide decision support analysis to identify issues, opportunities and emerging trends to our business partners.
Assist in preparation of presentation materials (reports, charts, graphs) for senior management.
Responsible for managing staff to ensure productivity and accurate results are achieved.
On-going process improvements/enhancements to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Assist with special projects as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years related work experience in similar role.
University degree or post secondary education business, commerce, accounting or finance related.
An accounting designation (CGA, CMA, CA) or, alternatively, enrollment in an accounting program.
Advanced skills in Microsoft office applications (Excel, Access, VBA, Powerpoint).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills able to effectively obtain information, communicate issues, actively engage in influencing others and working as a team.
Must possess strong analytical skills with attention to detail and consistency in report presentation.
Results oriented - ability to prioritize and consistently delivers on time with high degree of accuracy.
Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
Advanced Microsoft Office applications (ie., Excel: pivot tables, v-look-up, familiarity with macros, graphing and sorting; Access: pulling data, joining tables, cross tab tables).
Working knowledge of SQL query tools and Hyperion to develop reports.
