Investment Representative
Job Description
An Investment Representative is responsible for developing a customer base of retail investors to invest in Real Estate products.
Essential Job Functions
• Prospect and build a customer base of retail investors
• Provide account management services to your book of retail investors
• Maintain a high level of product, company and industry knowledge
• Prepare and present investment proposals to investors
• Maintain and promote existing investor relationships
• Work closely with other Investment Representatives to build a positive team environment
• Attend trade shows and association meetings as required
• Actively promote the company’s brand
• Prepare and submit monthly reporting and updates of sales

• Ability to assess investor needs
• Ability to communicate product benefits and features
• Ability to work well with co-workers in a team environment
• Ability to write and present effective proposals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong PC skills with proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to successfully complete all designated licensing requirements
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
• Full scheduling flexibility
• Self motivated and ability to excel with minimum supervision
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize multiple responsibilities
• Sound ability to build rapport / sell products and services over the phone and in person
Education, Designations, and Prerequisites
• Post Secondary Education
• Canadian Securities Course (preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
• Customer service experience in a financial institution or real estate industry
Package
• For the first 6 months of employment: a $4,000 monthly draw (to a cumulative maximum of $24,000) against future commissions
• Commission - generally 1% to 3% of sales depending on product
• Expenses - $350 monthly expense allowance
