Description
The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the administration and customer service of all Banking and Securities related products. This entails leading a management team and staff that are responsible for delivering superior service in a timely, accurate, and efficient fashion to our client base. The incumbent must ensure that appropriate controls are in place so that the department is compliant with all applicable regulations and that errors are managed to a minimum. As well, the incumbent is responsible for championing and executing continuous improvement in the department.
Qualifications
• University Degree/College Diploma or equivalent work experience
• Must have 10 years work experience in financial sector
• Must be comfortable managing a large call centre of up to 40 staff
• Managed senior managers and large employee pool of 100 employees or more
• IFIC or Canadian Securities required
• Strong knowledge of the mutual fund, securities and banking industry
• Strong knowledge in IIROC, IFIC, MFDA, compliance regulatory requirements
• Understanding of the financial services industry, its independent distribution channels and the regulatory environment
• Strong management in call center and administrative units
• Strong knowledge in self directed, deposit and banking products
• Comfortable working back-office operations environment
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
Duties
• Ensure accurate, timely and efficient processing of all transactions involved in the administration of securities products and client accounts
• Lead a team of highly skilled CSR’s responsible for client inquiries
• Ensure delivery of outstanding customer service when discussing transactions and inquiries from our clients
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and ensures proper management controls are in place
• Sets annual budget for department and manages expenses accordingly
• Contributes to the strategic planning of the Operations Management team and sets annual department plans for Investment Products Administration
• Manages change initiatives for the department, with comprehensive planning and smooth execution
• Ensures that sound Human Resources practices are followed in the department, i.e. recruiting, objective setting, performance management, development planning, performance reviews and managing employee relations issues
