QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a professional work environment
• Experience with a modular accounting system
• Experience in exporting and importing
• Enrollment in a recognized accounting program (CMA, CGA)
• Solid experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• General knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• dependable, flexible and can demonstrate initiative
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail-oriented

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reporting directly to the President, you will also provide support to the production and sales teams
• Management and execution of the A/P and A/R functions including dispute resolution and collection of A/R
• Creating bank deposits
• Posting and creating of client invoices into accounting system
• Post and verify payable invoices
• Ensure invoice details agree to Purchase Order and Packing Slips
• Ensures PST Exemption is used appropriately
• Match invoices with purchase orders and packing slips
• General review of all invoices, Purchase Orders and Packing Slips for reasonableness
• Control Purchase Order Numbers
• Maintaining a filing system of all AP and AR
• Monthly Bank Reconciliation
• Assistance in the preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements
• Participation in financial budgets and projections
• Prepare analysis of G/L, customer and supplier accounts
