Description

• Our client has an immediate opportunity for a Database Administrator. The right candidate will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the client’s databases in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology
• 2 years experience with MS-SQL Server
• Experienced with Database Design and Database Modelling
• Data replication, optimization and maintenance skills
• Converting various other data formats to MS-SQL Server
• Knowledge of at least one programming language
• Experience with web applications and familiar with the Client/Server architecture

Duties

• Writing/reviewing complex SQL triggers and Stored Procedure Code.
• Identify and evaluate alternative solutions to business problems and recommend appropriate strategies
• Provide DBA support for application development activities including database testing/running.
• Prepare detailed project requirements and specifications that will form the framework of software through production by the entire project team
• Problem solving, infrastructure software installation, configuration, testing, deployment and performance tuning.
• Assist in the design of the software
