Job Summary

Our client has an immediate opportunity for a systems analyst. The successful candidate will provide daily support to the client’s service team which includes trouble shooting, coaching, technical escalation and coordination.

Requirements

• University degree or college diploma
• 5 years or more experience in underwriting in commercial lines an asset
• Project management Certification a definite asset.
• Excellent analytical skills, interpersonal skills, time management and problem solving skills
• Proficient with technology such as policy management systems, intranet, extranet and the web
• Occasional travel may be required (~ 5%)
• Flexible to work late and weekends to ensure the smooth work flow / deadlines.
• Knowledge of HTML, Visual Basic and SQL

Duties

• Participates or leads underwriting development projects as defined by the Commercial business plan in order to attain set objectives
• Proposes, designs and updates workflow processes affected by development and documents all changes in workflow and relevant user manuals
• Plans, develops and implements enhancements to client and client facing web applications such as RefleX Online or Kanetix
• Actively participates in all project phases from requirement workshops, development of user test grids, testing execution, incident management to input on or approval of scheduled deliverables and post mortem analysis to identify opportunities for improvement
• Trains underwriting employees and brokers on new processes and changes to the system including development of training materials, organization of sessions and delivery of training presentations
