Qualifications
• University Degree or College Diploma is required
• Minimum 2+ years of claims experience
• Must have knowledge of Bill 59 legislation
• Previous subrogation in property and casualty experience required
• Experience in processing on an automated system
• Exceptional communication skills is a must
• Excellent multi-tasker who is comfortable working in high-pressure situations
Duties
• Work with adjusters involving subrogation opportunities
• Negotiate settlement by phone or directly with third parties
• Recovering amounts owed or negotiate a repayment schedule
• Participate in legal proceedings
• Represent the company at alternative dispute and small claims court proceedings
• Manage the automobile salvage process
• Allocate payments or refunds as appropriate on salvage files
• Liaise with adjusters to negotiate and validate appropriate towing and storage payments
