Description

Our client has an immediate opening for a distribution supervisor within their location in Mississauga. The right candidate will be reporting to the distribution manager and will be responsible for meeting customer needs through staffing coordination.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a manufacturing or distribution sector
• SAP experience – definite asset
• Ability to problem solve, multi-task and have a strong team work skills
• Knowledge of Excel, MS Word, Lotus Notes
• Ability to lift a minimum- 40lbs
• HSE expertise and GMP – definite asset

Duties

• Sort invoices and prioritize workload accordingly. Investigate discrepancies and discuss with Manager or customer service supervisor
• Distribution workload to packers. Investigate discrepancies, (short ship, and invalid batch records) discuss with Distribution Supervisor, Inventory Control. Ensure time is spent by each employee for inventory put away and making boxes for next day. Assist daily with inventory put away. Assist daily with packing.
• Responsible for attendance, approving vacations, personal time, and schedule meetings working with Outbound Supervisor to ensure coverage is met to achieve statistical goals. Conduct annual and semi-annual performance evaluations for direct reports. Provide Input to HR for opportunities on career development and enrichment programs for direct reports
• Review SOP(s) annually and provide updates as necessary. Conduct performance observations and create training plans. Maintain training records in Lotus Notes.
