Qualifications
RIBO license required and CAIB or CIP designations an asset
Minimum of ten years commercial insurance experience
Expertise with both Transportation and Non-transportation customers required
Supervisory experience preferred
Excellent computer skills; SigXp or Signassure fluency preferred.
Duties
First level technical leadership to the team of Commercial service brokers with respect to coverage, policy language, management of risks and marketing
of proposals for “non-supported” commercial clients
Executive or Account Director involved in the relationship
Responsible for retention (and budgeted organic growth) of the “non-supported” commercial book of business
Identify training needs and provide appraisals of performance of Commercial service brokers and contribute to the appraisal of the Commercial Claims Facilitator
In conjunction with C.O.O., balance workload between staff members, recruit and train staff as required
Attend “High Performance Team” (or equivalent) meetings to monitor and facilitate the work of service and sales brokers, and work with the Commercial
Marketing Manager to ensure teamwork and productivity of Commercial Sales and Service staff
Act as primary contact with assigned clients for service issues and concerns during the life of the policy. Prepare instructions for and monitor the completion of fulfillment tasks delegated to Account Administrator. Alert the team to issues requiring action or communication with the client;
At prescribed schedule prior to renewal, complete loss ratios, prepare coverage checklist and update schedule of insurance in preparation for a team meeting at which accounts are reviewed for possible re-marketing and to determine documents required for the pre-renewal visit;
If re-marketing, prepare client overview, and update incumbent insurer’s application incorporating new information from meetings.
Review policy to ensure it conforms to binder and for continuity in wordings. Review coverage forms, exclusions, conditions, and adequacy of limits.
Review and prepare cover letter for delivery. Complete certificates and financing contracts within prescribed time frames.
