Description

Our client has an immediate opening for a senior underwriter to join their Toronto location. The right candidate will be essential in providing a trusted broker satisfaction experience whenever contact is made. The candidate will also be critical in providing the best underwriting service as well as keeping the corporate priorities in check to enable profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of insurance experience including home/auto underwriting experience
• CIP or FCIP designation is a definite asset
• Strong leadership, negotiation and customer service skills
• Ability to work with teams and between other business units
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organization and time management skills

Duties
• Provide an exceptional customer service to brokers in a timely and informed manner. Broker connection should constantly be challenging status quo to provide an exceptional underwriting service.
• Provide additional remote and side by side monitoring of underwriter phone activity and broker interaction, broker relationship officers will support Supervisory efforts to refine underwriter technical skills, as well as soft skills relating to communication to support the overall Quality Assurance program.
• Exhibit high degree of professionalism when representing Broker and dealing with team members and the leadership team.
• Keep up to date with industry and market changes
• Ability to support all position with the team
