Description

 We are currently recruiting for a Claims Supervisor for one of our clients in the Insurance Industry in the London area. The Claims Supervisor will be working in the Accident Benefits (AB) department but any claims supervisory experience (Bodily Injury or Property Damage) is required.

Qualifications

• University Degree or College Diploma or CIP Designation.
• Minimum 3-5 years of Claims Supervisory experience.
• AB Claims experience would be an asset
• Strong working knowledge of Bills 59 and Bill 198 legislation preferred
• Experience in the area of disability management, including rehabilitation preferred
• Highly organized with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Duties

• Understand, interpret and analyze policy coverage’s, exclusions, statutory conditions and applicability of deductibles
• Working knowledge of Statutory Accident Benefit Schedules
• Assess & establish AB loss and expense reserves
• Train/develop staff and perform performance reviews
• Direct staff in the investigation, reserving, creation of action plans to move the claim to resolution, negotiation and settlement of claims.
• Work closely with legal counsel
• Experience working with independent adjusters, appraisers, engineers and other experts
• Conduct settlement meetings
• Responsible for claims file audits
• Complete quarterly reports commenting on audits and provide action plans for improvement
