Description

Our client has an immediate need for an accountant in their Oakville location. The right candidate should have accounting experience from within the hotel sector.

Qualifications

• University degree / College diploma – Accounting or related field
• 5+ years experience within the industry
• Accounting experience – Hotel – Definite asset
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and other financial system
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills
• Ability to cope with pressure, tight deadlines and heavy volume of work

Duties

• Financial data and operation analysis to achieve hotel objectives
• Preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
• Maintain General Ledger (GL) including posting to the GL and assembling monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports from the GL.
• Prepare monthly financial statement for review and reconciliation of the GL on a monthly basis
• Manage the flow of invoices from receipt to payment
