- We receive Recruitment Requests from our client via email or phone call
- Arrow Professional Services Account Manager & Dedicated Recruitment Consultant will review the job specifications internally to gain an understanding of position & put together any clarification questions regarding the job description and requirements
- Account Manager will communicate with specified client representative to clarify questions regarding the role.
- Once Job Requirements have been clarified, the Account Manager and Recruitment consultant will create a job advertisement that reflects the requirements of the role, while not revealing that the role is directly with our client.
- The job advertisement will be posted to appropriate websites that may include Monster, Workopolis, Dice, Craigslist, Kijiji, Government Job Bank, LinkedIn and any other relevant Job Boards.
- Through our affiliations with external job boards, our posting reaches active and passive candidate through over 200 different internet sites and job boards.
- Arrow Professional Services will begin sourcing by searching our internal resume database of over 100,000 candidates. Arrow Professional Services has invested in an Applicant Tracking System called HireDesk that has a built in search feature that ranks each candidate according to search criteria of the position. The system is able to identify quickly the most relevant candidates for the job from a resume perspective.
- Arrow Professional Services locates the majority of our candidates for hard to fill roles through referrals and direct sourcing and/or head-hunting. Our direct sourcing/headhunting techniques allow us to confidentially identify top talent in other organizations that are currently performing the exact or similar tasks required.
- Other job boards we use to source candidates include Monster, Workopolis, Career Builder, Craigslist, and Dice.
- Arrow Professional Services employees utilize various Networking venues such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and outside networking groups to meet with candidates/clients on a regular basis.
- Arrow Professional Services’ employees are experienced in conducting technical based interview questions in many different fields including IT, Finance, Administration, Engineering, and Sales
- Arrow Professional Services utilizes a commercial testing program from Presenting Solutions Inc, called Prove It! for assessing technical skills when required.
- The Prove It! tests are administered in Arrow Professional Services’ office and monitored by the recruitment consultant.
- Prove It! tests are automatically timed and scored through the testing software.
- All Arrow Professional Services employees who are assigned to administer these examinations are experienced and familiar with the oral and written instructions that are to be given to the temporary help employees. The Arrow Professional Services employees assigned to administer the test will regularly verify that all test equipment is in good working condition (e.g. computers, tape recorders, printers, etc..) and ensure that general test conditions permit temporary help employees to perform at their best(e.g. that there is adequate lighting, sufficient work space and a quiet environment)
- Arrow Professional Services builds a list of interview questions related to the job requirements. Over the years, Arrow Professional Services has built a number of set questions related to various positions that help in the assessment process.
- Arrow Professional Services will assign an appropriate number of points to each of the interview questions according to the level of importance of the skills that are necessary for each role. We do not take the response given by the candidate for granted so we will probe candidates further on their answers to clearly gauge the level of competency of the candidate related to each specific requirement and/or certification.
- Arrow Professional Services will not only assess the skills but also the individual in general: personality, communication and listening skills, learning potential, etc. We score individuals fairly. Some may possess stronger business acumen than competing individuals, but our overall interview score and insight will lead us to recommend only those candidates that meet the overall needs of our client.
- The Recruitment Consultant will perform a prescreening interview to assess the validity of the candidate for the job.
- Once the prescreening interviews have been completed, the Recruitment Consultant will conduct an in-depth/face-to-face interview with the short-listed candidates.
- After passing the in depth/face-to-face interview, candidates will be tested through Prove It! on their technical skills if necessary
- After the in-depth/face-to-face interview and testing has been passed, we will select the candidates judged as the best for the position/competency level and pass those on to the Account Manager
- All Candidates who will not move forward in the selection process receive an email from Arrow Professional Services letting them know they are no longer being considered.
- The Account Manager then will re-interview those candidates to re-validate fit, skills and personality and thus determines which ones he/she feels that would best serve the needs of the hiring manager and our client
- An executive summary of the candidates experience, availability and salary requirements related to the job description is prepared and forwarded to the client, along with the resume
- We help coordinate all phone screens, interviews and facilitate the job offer process.
- Once candidates begin working with our clients we maintain frequent contact with the employer and the new employee to ensure that both parties are satisfied with their decision.
